I don't have any stories that compare to these other people's but I do think that my past encounters and experiences with unprotected sex can put some kind of a perspective on how people can take some precautions.
I've only had one STD scare and it was after a night of debauchery with the cast from one of my musical productions. I was in the musical production of Rocky Horror Picture Show at my school, UCSC. I had the part of Rocky. We got done with our show and we went back to our director's house for the cast party. It was insane. Everything you could imagine was going on there; people were having sex on the couch, opium, absinthe, weed brownies, hookahs, tons of alcohal, blasting music, etc. My director Marc brought out the absinthe and poured me three shots. I Downed them quickly and was completely trashed within a matter of minutes. I remember I was dancing in the living room where the music was and I fell on the floor and two of these really hot dancers from the opening of our show tackled me and started taking my clothes off, and then this pretty much turned into an all-out orgy, with me being the catalyst for it. Despite my condition, I was still responsible enough to use condom. However, when I suggested it to the other people in my group, they just laughed at me and said that I was a germaphobe. And then it hit me - if these people aren't using protection for total, full-on orgy, then do they use protection ever? I Ended up with two girls, having sex with one of them and get a blowjob from two others and I even went down on a guy just to see what it was like. I didn't cum the entire night but just being exposed to so many different people made me feel totally shitty after it was over. I got my tests done a month later for the diseases that take a month to incubate (chlamydia, gonorhea, HSV-1 and 2) and I have tested negative, fortunately. I'm getting tested in a couple days for HIV. I'm probably clean but every day is a constant worry. I don't know what I would do if I got a disease.
