He loved me, unconditionally and I have not found that kind of love since he passed. My father died on October 19, 1994 of the AIDS. .........read this story Sat Dec 16 2000 location=: Louisiana Hi I am 17 years old. I just recently discovered that I had AIDS. I've been out on my own working 2 jobs for a long time now. Taking care of my self. I had my own place. I was just the "MAN", so I thought. I had women here and women there. I had no idea of the consequences. Now, I'm struggling to fight this and as I see my self getting nearer to death. I get depressed because there is nothing I could do about it. But my mom is having a hard time dealing with this. I don't like to visit because I feel like I am out of place. Scared to touch anything. My step-dad hates me and my mom agrees w/him just because she don't want him angry with her. How could you go against your own child. The reason I decided to come open about my disease is because a lot of young kids out their are having sex without protection and not realizing the serious danger that can cause and if my story could save someone from contracting this terrible, life-threatning illness I have I would feel like I've accomplished at least one thing in my life. So I say to everyone please if you're going to have sex please protect yourselves. Thank you all who took out the time to read my story and I hope I have convinced you to practice safe sex. I got the virus when I was 16 years old by sleeping around with people I barley knew. I was looking for love in all the wrong places by having sex with people who I thought cared about me. But obviously i was wrong. I am now 19 years old and I don't think life could be any better. I am happy and loved by many I know have a boyfriend who I have been with for 2 years. I wanted to share this story because I know there are a lot of girls out there who are looking for love but they don't know where to find it. My advice is to just pray. All you have to do is pray I know things might not go the way you want them to right off but they will go through!! I promise thank you for listening to my story. |
