Saturday, January 29, 2000 I have a question which has been on my mind for a long time. If HIV pos girl fell pregnant would the baby be born with the virus and how long would the baby's life expectancy be.
Wednesday, February 2, 2000 Well, I'm only 15
and I'm not HIV positive. I just wanted to say that I feel very sad when
I see all this people die. In my country we talk so little about AIDS.
I don't know how it feels to be ill but there is always hope. My people
are quite poor but we are strongly trying to find cure. At this moment
I'm writing essay on HIV and AIDS and trying to find a solution. I'm going
to go soon on medical university and probably end up as doctor. That would
be great because then I could have money to find cure. I just wanted to
say to all you young and old people who are infected that there is always
hope... Wednesday, February 2, 2000 name:
HIVwoman.com Friday, February 4, 2000 Thank you very much
for all your help. I am a high school student and I am doing a research
project. I found your information most helpful. Sunday, February 6, 2000 name: Helena Wednesday, February 9, 2000 name: margreat I just wanna say these are stories ..that make me wanna be careful and also not to be afraid of AIDS. Wed, 9 Feb 2000 Subject: Discussion of AIDS Im 18, and I do Biology at my school. I find it very sad to see people who are infected with AIDS or HIV. I always wish that there will be something that will be able to cure the disease... I like studying AIDS/HIV, because it is interesting, and educational. It helps people to have protections, to stop the disease spreading around, and the death toll will decrease. It is interesting because I like knowing how it changes people's lives. It makes me feel very depressing, and I wish I could help!!! I know that AIDS/HIV cannot be cured. Pia Tuesday, February 15, 2000 I am not sure if
my story is even a story yet as it is not over. I am a white female age
27, mother of 3 young sons. I raised my boys alone for 3 years before
meeting the man of my dreams. I am educated about AIDS & HIV, but like
many felt it wouldn't affect me. I was wrong. Saturday, February 19, 2000 My name is Natalie and I am a 10th grade student at Crookston High School in Crooston, Minnesota. As part of my 10th grade Historical Geography class I need to complete a research project. I have chosen to research the topic: teenagers with AIDS. I am writing to request that you forward the interview which follows to someone who can help me with my research. 1. How did you contract AIDS? 2. How has having AIDS affected your life? 3. What types of treatments are receiving for this disease? 4. How have your friends helped you with this illness? 5. How has your family helped you with this illness? 6. What do you think the future holds for people who have AIDS? Thank you again. Natalie (e-mail contact has been taken off after eight months) Tuesday, February 22, 2000 Thank you for being here. I was diagnosed in 86, when I was 18. Back then when I would call into 800 numbers they would tell me I was the first woman they talked too. I couldn't find a support group in my area. They were all for men. I would like to reach out to other women, and be able to discuss HIV and how it has affected me and my life. I don't know where to start. HELP!
At this time I would
have to decline submitting a story. |
